The Wedding Crown Stefana signify the bond between the bride & groom and represent the glory and honor bestowed upon them by God during a Greek Orthodox wedding ceremony.  The bride and groom are crowned as king and queen of their home, which they will rule with wisdom, justice, and integrity.  After the priest places the stefana on their heads, the Koumbaro or Koumbara exchanges the crowns three times as witness to the sealing of the union.
